Bohri Malfua, Malpua or poora in punjab is a pancake served as a dessert or a snack originating from the Indian subcontinent, popular in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh.

Ingredients

  • Suji (semolina) ½ or ¾ cups
  • Atta 1 cup (whole wheat flour)
  • Sugar (enough to sweeten)
  • 1 egg
  • Water to soak in for semi-thick consistency

Method

  1. Soak suji, atta and sugar in water overnight for semi thick consistency.
  2. Add egg and whisk in the morning before frying
  3. Take oil in frying pan, heat,
  4. take ladle and pour till a circle of batter forms in frying pan
  5. when golden brown turn side
  6. when both sides are golden brown it is ready to eat relish with Balai (milk skin) mixed with honey.
