How to Make Turai Ghosht (torai gosht) or Ridged Gourd Mutton Curry at Home by fatma’s kitchen.
Ingredients for Turai Gosht Recipe
- Tori/Torai/Ridge gourd 1/2 Kg
- Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (zeera)
- 1/2 Kg Mutton
- 4 tsp Ginger & Garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi Powder)
- 1 Tbsp Coriander powder (Dhaniya powder)
- 1/2 tsp Red Chili powder (Laal Mirch powder)
- 1 tsp Salt (Namak)
- 1 Tomato
- 1/4 tsp Garam Masala
- water as per required
METHOD
- Peel turai (Ridge gourd) and cut in chunks. Keep aside In a pan.
- take 1/2 Cup Olive Oil,add 1 Chopped Onion and fry for 2 mins.
- Add 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (zeera)
- Add 1/2 Kgs Mutton and Cook for 3-4 mins.
- Add 4 tsp Ginger & Garlic paste and Cook for 2-3 mins.
- Add 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi Powder).
- Add 1 Tbsp Coriander powder (Dhaniya powder).
- Add 1/2 tsp Red Chili powder (Laal Mirch powder).
- Add 1 tsp Salt (Namak). Add 1 Chopped Tomato.
- Add 1/2 cup water or as Required.(tori and mutton will also release water..
- Cover & Cook (For 30- 45 mins or until meat is tender).
- (You can use pressure cooker for quick cooking)…
- Add 1/4 tsp Garam Masala.
