Chanay or Cholay Recipe for Puri By Zeenat Iqbal Hakimjee

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg cholay or Chickpea
  • Tomatoes
  • Onions
  • Garlic paste
  • Ginger paste
  • Green chilly
  • Paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilly to taste

Method

  1. Soak Chickpea overnight.
  2. Fry onions and tomatoes in oil till tender.
  3. Add ginger,garlic and green chilly paste and fry.
  4. Then add salt and red chilly powder and sauté
  5. Then add Chickpea.
  6. If needed add water and cook till Chickpea are tender and ready.
