Chanay or Cholay Recipe for Puri By Zeenat Iqbal Hakimjee
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg cholay or Chickpea
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Garlic paste
- Ginger paste
- Green chilly
- Paste
- Salt to taste
- Red chilly to taste
Method
- Soak Chickpea overnight.
- Fry onions and tomatoes in oil till tender.
- Add ginger,garlic and green chilly paste and fry.
- Then add salt and red chilly powder and sauté
- Then add Chickpea.
- If needed add water and cook till Chickpea are tender and ready.
