Bun kebab is a sandwich type Burger, originating from Pakistan, especially Karachi. It is usually found in roadside stalls and in fast food restaurants all across the Pakistan. It is commonly eaten along with a soft drink.
Ingredients:
- Gram lentil (Channay ki daal) ½ cup
- Potatoes 2 cups (boiled & mashed)
- Chili powder ½ tsp
- White cumin ½ tsp
- Black cumin ½ tsp
- Water 1 cup
- Buns 4
- Salt ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves 1 cup
- Mint leaves ½ cup
- Green chilies 4
- Khatai powder ½ tsp (optional)
- Salt ½ tsp
- Garlic paste ½ tsp
- Yogurt 3 tbsp (optional)
For the chutney
blend all the ingredients. Boil the lentil (daal) with 1 cup water, salt, chili powder, white and black cumin till tender and water dries.
How To Make Bun Kebab
Cool and grind and mix with mashed potatoes, make flat kebabs dipped in beaten eggs whites and shallow fry. Cut the bun in threes (horizontally) heat it on tawa (flat hot iron plate) with little oil. Assemble it; Put the kebab on the first bun slice, with salad leaves, chutney and onions, closing it with the second slice. To fill the third slice, make an omelet (with salt and red chili only), sliced cucumber and tomato pieces.
