Chicken tikka, is a chicken dish originating in the Punjab region of the Indian Subcontinent; the dish is popular in India and Pakistan.
Ingredients
- 1 chicken
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic
- 1 small papaya
- 2 red chillies
- salt to taste
- 10 very small white onions
- 4 to 6 firm medium sized tomatoes
- 30 gms ginger
- 2 green chillies
- 30 gms onion
- 115 gms. Curds / Yogurt
- oil for basting
Chicken Tikka Recipe
- Cut chicken into cubes.
- Grind ginger, garlic, green chillies, onions and red chillies.
- Mix with curd and salt to taste and pieces of papaya and marinate the chicken in the above mixture and keep for about 2 hours.
- Put on skewer.
- Brush with oil and cook on a tawa till done, turning it often to grill evenly.
